Jodi F. Conway, LADC, MAC, CSAT, CCPS
Co-Founder, New England Recovery Associates
I have been providing professional and confidential psychotherapy for over 25 years to individuals, families and groups. My area of specialty was initially chemical dependency treatment for the addict and his or her family members. Over time my focus expanded to include other addictive and compulsive disorders and the underlying trauma that often leads to addiction and intimacy disorders.
I began seeing more and more people struggling with problematic sexual behaviors, either in conjunction with other addictions or after abstinence from other addictive behaviors. The birth of the internet and technology speedway also helped to produce more people coming in for help with compulsive sexual behaviors and intimacy disorders. I have been trained and certified by Dr. Patrick Carnes and the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction specialties (IITAP) to treat people with Compulsive Sexual Behavior Disorder. I was also trained and certified by The Association of Partners of Sex Addicts and Trauma Specialists (APSATS) to treat Betrayed Partners.
I was co-founder/owner of an outpatient counseling center, Northern Valley Associates, specializing in the treatment of addictions in Northern New Jersey. In 2010 I moved to Massachusetts to become the Clinical Director of The Stonybrook Center in Framingham, MA. In 2013, my colleague Jim Bailey and I founded New England Recovery Associates to bring the very latest in addiction therapy to all parts of Massachusetts and New England.
